Who is this course for

This course is open to anyone - yoga therapists, instructors and students, health care practitioners, and families of children with Special Needs.

It is important to understand the medical contraindications to certain asanas and breathing techniques , so please do not try to copy our work without proper instruction.

The course is a very intensive and dynamic 3 days of training which will include not only in-depth study of the different ways one can apply Yoga for the Special Child Method to babies ( 0 - 2 years old ) with special needs but also further deepening of the participant's own yoga practice.

The training will include 1hrs and 30min of yoga sadhana ( practice ) in the morning followed by lectures and discussions on yoga as early intervention, demo sessions of Sonia working with babies and further study of how to apply Yoga for the Special Child Methodology safely, correctly and effectively.  Sonia will share with the group further techniques and tools that can be used and applied in different cases. Every day will conclude with a deep relaxation or meditation session so the participants can better absorb the newly learned skills and gained knowledge.

At the end of the course you will receive a contact hours recognition that is recognised by Yoga Alliance UK and Yoga Alliance US, AYT International and AOTA and can be added and used as part of your specialisation training if you are doing a TT Yoga Course.

The cost of the course is £450 (early bird £400 till 18th February 2019 ).

The initial deposit is £150 and the rest is payable no later than two weeks before the starting date of the course.

However, we understand that sometimes splitting things on monthly instalments is more manageable financially therefore that option is also available. Once you pay the deposit we can then split the rest of the payment into equal amounts and you can pay it off monthly till the start of the course. If you choose this option please do let us know so we can arrange the details.

This is not a residential course. If you need help with finding a place to stay while on the course in London, do let us know. We can help out with finding a suitable accommodation in the area to make things easier for you. If you need any further information, feel free to email us at any time. We will do our best to help and support you in the process.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to MahaDevi Yoga Centre and the Yoga for the Special Child® Family.
